1. What is ContractXchange?

ContractXchange provides the opportunity for you to work flexible hours from your home office as an independent agent contractor and take customer service calls for the virtual call centers of major companies around the world.

2. How do i get started ?  How do I apply for jobs?

Go to http://www.work-at-home-jobs-canada.com

Lots of information there on the available.

I also have a link to a series of videos there that walk you with the process.

The first thing to do is to click on the link on that page to join the ContractXchange network and get your .

Just make sure that you select my name at the bottom of the site to allow me to be your community sponsor and I can contact you with follow up messages.

How Do I Apply for the Contracts.

Once you have your membership and can access it, you log in and go to the area of the site.  You will setup your online resume on that page and save it.  On the left had side of this page you will see a list with 5 numbers, when you get there you are already on page one.

After this go to page 2 the Remote Readiness , the  and answer the questions there.  This will give you a good idea on what has to be done to get started.

After you have answered the questions there you should go to the Job Postings area and start looking at the contracts and apply to the contracts that you qualify for and you want to work at.  Do not go on to page 3 Remote Certification until you have applied for the postions you are interested in.  Come back to that after you are done your applications.

Most of the details about the contracts are in this area, so take the time to read everything there so you understand what the contract is all about.

Remember that there is a Chat link to our Career Desk agents who are also Contract Agents.   These people have gone thru everything you have to do what they are doing so they know what they are talking about.

To apply for the contract there is a link at the bottom of the contract you can click to get started.   There is more information on the following pages – make sure you read them.  The last page is where you can start your voice audition.   If you do not finish your voice audition the application will not be complete.

3. I’m using Vista.  I cannot complete the system check.  The CIS Benchmark Score is unable to show and I’m thinking its because of my operating system.  Is there anyway to get around this using Vista?  I’ve been looking for Windows XP, but unable to find it.

I presume that the CIS Benchmark Score is something that is included in the Belarc report that you download from your membership site at ContractXchange.
This score as far as I know is not nessessary to be done, all the Career Desk people need it to see  the basic information about your computer, just run the test and upload it.  You are done.
If the Career Desk marks the Belarc as failed, you simply contact them and find out what the problem is and take the steps to correct it.
Don’t worry about Vista until it becomes an issue.

Most of the clients are running all of the programs you need to work off a DVD.

Just set up (or have your tech guy) setup your computer bios to allow the computer boot off the DVD before it looks at your C: drive.
The only time Vista is a issue is if the Bios cannot be changed to allow the DVD to boot, or the system will not read the DVD properly.
This does not happen very often, and can be dealt with during and after a tech call done before the training.

4.
I registered online yesterday and I rec’d my user-name and password.  Unfortunately they are not working when I enter both to activate my account a message pops up, and tells me that I am not registered or wrong user-name and/or password .
I am sorry but I cannot help you with your UN & PW for your account.  I wonder if it is possible that your pop-up blocker or your firewall may be blocking access to your membership site?

Have you selected the link on your login page to reset your password?  If these tips did not help please contact the Career Desk for additional help.

5.  I’m a little afraid of what I will need to get my computer upgraded so I can do this.  I have some questions if you don’t mind. I want to know if I can do this from home?
Most of our clients use a DVD to access their servers, so nothing
touches your hard drive.

If the client runs programs on the Windows Platform there is a tech c all where one of our tech support agents (They are contract agents as well, I worked as a tech support agent for about 2 years.) will meet with you on line by appointment and install the software you need to work online and test it.

This also applies to the DVD.

You do not need a new computer to use this system.

My computer is over 4 years old.  A Dell Dimension 4700 which I am
sure you could pickup anywhere for less than $300.00 these days.

I had one Gig of memory when I started this work and it was not
adequate for the workload.  I now have over 3G of memory which really works well.   The network requirements and on the site you can join.

The other thing that is really critical is a fast internet speed.

I use Rogers Extreme  High Speed Internet service and have had no problems with their service.  I can’t wait till they offer more speed options.

6. Do I need Voip?

If you live out side of the GTA calling area, yes you do.  I
personally use Primus, and like Rogers Home Phone services.

The server needs a local number to call you without needing to call
long distance.  The numbers that our servers work with well is 416 or
647 area code, so you have to request one of those specific area codes
when you order your service.

There should be no services attached to that phone, I treat mine as a
work number only and do not use it to call out or answer it.

7. You can service more than 1 client at a time?

Yes you can have as many clients as you want.  I have 3 right now, I
have had as many as 8 at one time.

8.  I just want to know if this a business that I could make money and not worry about it being a scam?
Once you see the list of clients who use our network you will know
that these companies are solid corporate citizens and the contracts
are valid.

I personally have been working on this network for over the last 4
years and have been working and training at home full-time for over
the last 4 years.

To make a full time income you should have more than one client.  If
you only have one contract, do not think it will support you full time.

Here is what I tell everyone who is interested in this,

“DO NOT SPEND ANYTHING ON THIS UNTIL YOU HAVE RECEIVED AND INVITATION TO TRAIN FROM A CLIENT.”

Then you will not be disappointed if it takes a long time to get a position.
Just find out what you need, what it costs, and how long does it take to get it. Just get yourself ready and have a game plan.

Just like any company they will only offer new contract positions when
there is a need for more agents, so there is no timetable to when a
particular client will be hiring.

I have been pleasantly surprised at some of my offers that I got when
I did not expect one.

The first time I was invited to train for CAA I turned it down because I had too many clients and could not take the time from my other clients to train.

I always suggest to the people I sponsor to apply for contracts on the
waiting list that is where I have gotten most of my contracts from.
Then you do not have to keep looking at your membership site to see if
any new job postings are there, you have already applied to the  contracts you are interested in and if the client wants to offer you an invitation to train you will be notified by email.
